Zanzibar Tour with Lunch

Trip Overview

Zanzibar is known as the “Spice Island.” Together with a guide, we will visit a spice farm where you can observe exotic spices and fruits up close.

Our guide will explain in an engaging way the uses of various herbs, flowers, and fruits, both in cooking and in traditional medicine.

Prison Island (Changuu Island)

We will take a boat ride to an island that was once a prison and is now a sanctuary for giant Aldabra tortoises brought from Seychelles in the early 20th century.

These tortoises can weigh up to 400 kg and live for up to 250 years, making them the main attraction of the island.

Stone Town

Stone Town is a city with a fascinating and turbulent history. Walking through its alleys feels like stepping back in time.

During the tour, we will visit the old market, House of Wonders, the Living Stone House, the Arab Fort, and many other points of interest.

Trip Schedule

• Departure from hotel: approx. 9:15 AM
• About 2-hour visit to the Spice Farm
• Lunch at the Spice Farm (traditional local food)
• Arrival at Stone Town: approx. 1:00 PM
• Visit Darajani Market for shopping
• Explore Stone Town: city streets, Freddie Mercury House, Old Post Office, Wonder House, Forodhani Gardens, Old Fort, Zanzibar Doors, Jaws Corner, Catholic Church
• Return to hotel: approx. 6:00 – 7:00 PM

What to Bring / How to Prepare

• Sunscreen and insect repellent
• Comfortable shoes (sandals or sneakers)
• Normal clothing that covers shoulders and avoids expensive items
• Comfortable footwear for walking
• Optional: small gifts for children
